Tiger Woods Divorce To Elin Nordegren Final

Famous golfer and infamous cheater Tiger Woods’ divorce from wife Elin Nordegren is finally final. The couple officially ended their 6 year marriage on Monday.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren’s divorce judgment was handed down a Bay County, Florida court. The couple issued a joint statement regarding their two children via TigerWoods.com.

“We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future. While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us. Once we came to the decision that our marriage was at an end, the primary focus of our amicable discussions has been to ensure their future well-being. The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern.”

Cause for the divorce is assumed to be Tiger Woods’ infidelity. A Tiger Woods cheating scandal blew up in November of 2009 right after the golfer crashed his car outside his Florida home.

Rachel Uchitel, Joslyn James, Jamie Jungers, and Jamie Grubbs were all named as mistresses, with more than a dozen women coming forward with claims.

Tiger Woods went into seclusion before finally heading to rehab. It was rumored that Woods’ attended rehab due to a sex addiction and possible prescription medication dependency.

The financial terms of the couples divorce has not been made public. During the scandal it was said that Elin could get as much as $700 million from Tiger.

After the scandal began to die down Tiger Woods held a televised press conference apologizing for his actions. “Elin and I have started the process of discussing the damage caused by my behavior,” Woods said during the statement. ”As Elin pointed out to me, my real apology to her will not come in the form of words; it will come from my behavior over time. We have a lot to discuss; however, what we say to each other will remain between the two of us.”
