Carrie Underwood Wedding With Fisher
Carrie Underwood is now married .After weeks of speculation about when exactly her wedding would take place, the singer tied the knot with hockey star Mike Fisher Saturday night at a luxury resort outside of Atlanta, Georgia.
“Yes, Mike and Carrie are married,” Underwood’s publicist confirmed to the Associated Press early this morning.
Many of the wedding details leaked on the web prior to the event panned out to be accurate. The date, July 10, was a very speculated event. The event was held the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro,, a very well known location for these kind of events.
The pair married in front of 250 friends and family, including country-music luminaries Faith Hill and Garth Brooks–as well as American Idol judges Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell, and Paula Abdul. The beautiful ceremony included Bible verses and classical music. Underwood wore a chantilly lace gown which was created by Monique Lhuillier, who is noted for her lacy bridal designs.
In a statement to PEOPLE signed “Mike & Carrie Fisher,” the newlyweds said: “We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!”
The Fishers are reportedly setting off for their honeymoon –the locale of which is yet another interesting detail of the event kept secret to the world . As with everything else surrounding the Fisher nuptials, however, gossips have attempted to figure it out, and have settled on Tahiti. The bride herself said last month, “I have no clue where we’re going…I know it will be warm, that’s it.”
Underwood met Fisher in 2008. He proposed to her in December 2009.

Fashion is a business, but you must always stay true to yourself.
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”
